Rugged hunting cabins built for the wild
Based in Ohakune near Mt Ruapehu, we build rugged, weather-hardy cabins tailored for hunters and outdoor adventurers. Whether constructed on your remote block or built at our workshop and delivered, these aren't just tiny homes—they are true wilderness basecamps.
Built tough for kiwi backcountry
Crafted in the heart of the central plateau
Operating right under Mt Ruapehu in Ohakune, Hunterway Cabins was established to give hunters and outdoors enthusiasts real shelter built for the elements. We know the alpine weather, the damp bush, and the necessity of warm, dry living quarters. We do not mass-produce suburban sleepouts; every cabin is hand-built with rugged framing, smart storage for gear and rifles, and materials made to withstand tough conditions.
